London, September 6th 2018 – Playtech’s award-winning Age of the Gods suite has a brand new entry as Medusa and Monsters hits the slots, giving players 164 ways to win and a shot at four jackpots – if they can face the glare of the Gorgon’s gaze.

Age of the Gods has proved a major hit for the world’s leading omni-channel gaming company, with Medusa and Monsters the tenth title in the series. A six-reel slot with 164 winning lines, the game features one of the most iconic figures in Greek mythology – the snake-haired Gorgon whose gaze could turn mortals to stone. However, in this darkly-themed game, Medusa’s power to petrify is good news for players, as her stony stare freezes symbols in place during the Free Games round, creating bigger win potential.

Developed by Playtech’s Ash Gaming studio, Medusa and Monsters features an innovative reel design with several stacked symbols. The unique Medusa Wild symbol expands to fill the reel, creating extra chances to win, while stacked shield scatter symbols trigger the Medusa’s Gaze Free Games feature. The game’s striking imagery also features Cerberus the multi-headed dog, the Minotaur, and the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite.

As with all slot games in the Age of the Gods series, Medusa and Monsters gives players the chance to win one of four progressive jackpots on any spin: the Power, Extra Power, Super Power or Ultimate Power jackpot.

James Frendo, Director of Casino at Playtech, comments, “Age of the Gods has been an unprecedented success in terms of original content for Playtech, and we’re delighted with the latest addition to the series. The Ash Gaming team has truly delivered on both gameplay and graphics for Medusa and Monsters, which we’re sure will be another huge hit with Age of the Gods fans.

Age of the Gods has proved hugely popular across both Casino and Live Casino, and more recently Poker and Bingo. No other brand crosses multiple verticals in this way, and we’re confident Medusa and Monsters will be another key chapter in this success story.”
