Genting UK Select Playtech for Retail Casino Management System
Playtech, the international designer, developer and licensor of
software and services for the online, mobile, TV and land-based gaming
industry, is proud to announce that Genting has selected the Playtech
Neon system to manage its land-based casinos in the UK.
The Playtech system, which was developed in collaboration with its
subsidiary, Intelligent Gaming, will manage customer data, cash desk
operations, table gaming, incentive programmes and compliance across the
group. Genting UK's operations range from VIP private members' clubs to
modern, purpose-built premises, with 41 casinos located from Edinburgh
to Plymouth. In London it is the capital's leading casino operator with
six casinos which cater for all levels of the gaming market, including
its flagship, Crockfords, located in the heart of Mayfair which is
recognised as the world's oldest private members gaming club.
Chris Dempsey, Director of Consulting for Playtech's subsidiary
Intelligent Gaming, described the project. '"Neon will provide a unique
solution, connecting Genting UK's operations to a central system with a
range of HTML5 and iOS applications. Neon is the most flexible casino
management system available and we are carrying out significant
customisation to support and reinforce Genting's processes. We are proud
and excited to partner with the world's biggest gaming operator on a
project that is so important to the modernisation of their business."
Chris Ashworth, Genting UK IT Director, explained the decision to
implement the Playtech system. "Playtech's Neon will enable us to
centralise our systems and streamline many customer-facing business
processes to improve our customer service and drive our business
forward. The system will be fully centralised in a high-availability
data centre and will integrate with our other key business applications
via TIBCO."
The Neon system will be implemented during 2014 ready for the opening of Resorts World Birmingham in early 2015.
