2009:
Playtech continued to expand and penetrate the newly regulated markets, with a licensing agreement to supply casino and poker products to Casino Gran Madrid (CGM), one of the largest and most prestigious land-based gaming operators in Europe. Other notable successes include an online casino in Estonia operated by Olympic, the leading casino group in Eastern Europe, and a poker network and casino operated by the Serbian State Lottery.
Playtech signed a licensing agreement with NetPlay TV, the AIM-listed interactive TV gambling specialist, which migrates all of NetPlay TV’s brands from their current software providers onto Playtech’s online system.
New products were launched, such as Sports Betting and Live TV shows, and a wealth of new games were added to Playtech’s portfolio, including more of the popular branded games from the Marvel series.
The acquisition of Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS), one of the leading games aggregators in the industry, gives licensees access to over 500 games from 20 different content providers, via GTS’s EdGE open platform.
2008:
The Group added new licensees including Betsson, one of Europe’s largest publicly traded online gambling operators, Vista Global Limited, the group behind the Hollywood Poker brand, and Genting Stanley Alderney, a subsidiary of Genting International, a leading integrated resorts specialist.
The Company established a poker network for the Italian market. Operators include Snai SpA Italy’s leading land based operator; Eurobet Italia s.p.A the Italian and international sportsbook owned by Gala Coral Group; Sisal SpA, a leading Italian land-based and online gaming company and Cogetech, which provides sports betting "white label" solutions to a variety industry-leading Italian and international operators.
An exclusive licensing agreement was signed with Paramount Digital Entertainment, enabling Playtech licensees to offer games featuring two very well-known Paramount Pictures brands, "Gladiator" and "The Untouchables".
2007:
Playtech experienced substantial growth, with monthly revenues for 2007 exceeding those reached prior to the enactment of the 2006 Unlawful Internet. Gambling Enforcement Act, banning online operators from the US market. It won 15 licensees in all including Mansion and CY Foundation.
The Group successfully completed the migration and integration of the Tribeca poker network.
iPoker became the largest online poker network in the world with over 30, 000 concurrent real money players at peak times.
2006:
Playtech’s shares were successfully admitted to the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
The Group announced its membership in the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) and received an official Certificate of Prior Approval from the Alderney Gaming Control Commission (AGCC).
2005:
Playtech received the official Certificate of RNG Evaluation from TST.
2004:
The iPoker network was launched.
The launch of integrated casinos and other branded gaming applications for sportsbook giants like Bet365, the Tote, Betfred, and the Stanley Leisure group, consolidated Playtech’s position in the UK.
The Group’s gaming software received the official Certificate of Evaluation from BMM International.
The wholly owned subsidiary Videobet was launched, offering a comprehensive land-based terminal gaming platform.
2003:
Bingoland, Playtech’s worldwide bingo network hit the market.
Playtech launched Live Gaming, a real-time video-streamed gaming concept.
2002:
Playtech launched Casino Soleil, the first established European land based casino to go online.
2001:
Swiss Casino was launched representing the first major deal struck with an existing online operator.
2000:
Market analysis and product definition commenced. The blueprints of Playtech’s software architecture took form.
